The residents involvement people at NHG have organised a meeting on 5 February 2019.
It is in two sessions. A session from 3:00pm to 4:30 pm and then another one from 6:00pm to 7:30 pm
The session are for residents to ‘hear about some of (their) plans.’ Residents are not being given any vote and very little say in these ‘plans.’
There are currently very few places left – it looks like about 18 or so.
Residents who want to find out what NHG are planning should go to hear what is said – and maybe put forward ideas like direct elections of residents to the Board. But you have to register and they are seeking to restrict the number of residents attending.
See the letter at the end of this post.
Meanwhile the new chair is being selected without any democratic input from 170,000 residents.
You can see details of the residents fight to ensure that the selection of the chair is democratic and involves the 170,000 residents (who currently have no say at all in the process of selecting a chair) on the website and the Facebook page.
The Board and Management of NHG are currently flatly refusing to allow any democratic input from 170,000 resident into the process of selecting a new Chair for NHG.
