4 October 2018. 1:00pm.
Housing Association residents will be demonstrating outside City Hall in London (next to Tower Bridge).
The reason? The London Assembly Housing Committee is going to be questioning CEOs from four of the biggest housing associations in an open public session. Members of the London Assembly are asking residents to give them questions they can put to CEOs.
Come to demonstrate against the commercialisation of housing associations! Housing associations residents – tenants, leaseholders and shared owners will be making their voice heard for a real change in housing associations.
We want democratic housing associations. We demand that fire safety assessments be disclosed to residents. And the sale of desperately-needed social rent homes be stopped.
Housing associations have become commercialised volume house builders without ethics or values building out-of-reach homes. This must be stopped.
